• Noticeable response lag when pressing buttons to choose between game menu, zero lag within the game.

Features:

Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD is the successor to awesome 3D racer Asphalt 5. There are several different race types, cash to collect and bonus goals to achieve with each track. As stated you race through 11 different leagues in cities like L.A., Tokyo, the Bahamas, New York, Moscow, and more. There are 42 of the sweetest sports luxury cars and bikes that look like a duPont Registry auto listing for you unlock & earn, buy and tune up for racing. There are three racing types within the game which consist of Career, Quick Race and Multiplayer.

Career leads you through various leagues where you must win 5 race types; Normal, Under Pressure, another Normal, Drift and Duel. The first three are self-explanatory, Drift races are solo were you must drive through the city and surpass the drift points designated. Duel is a head-to-head with you and one other car and you must win!

Quick Race is just that, a solo one-off race if you don’t want to invest in so much time in Career or Multiplayer modes.

Multiplayer allows you to race against up to six friend next to you on different devices or online against people around the world over Wi-Fi regardless if they have the game on Android or iPhone. For the latter you would need to sign up and log into your Gameloft account. In this mode you can organize a race or join one. Another cool bonus here is the “Asphalt Academy”, which allows you to set records to beat and record your progress. Lastly, you can see the global leaderboard with breakdown by race type.

Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD features more stunt mayhem than a Michael Bay movie. From bumping to wipe-out collisions, from split decision shortcut turns to drifting, from small jumps to leaping through warehouses and over bridges; this game is action packed!

I like that this game is available in the Android Market versus only sold at Gameloft’s store, which is my biggest gripe about their fragmented/exclusive sales model on Android. They make some of the best mobile games but a pain to get. I’ve sat down with their communications manager and there is good reason behind it; they are committed to their games running superior on devices, thus test thoroughly on each device they support. Hopefully this Android-related fragmentation issue ceases to exist in the near future. In case you’re wondering Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD is compatible for the following devices.
